FAQ
IMPORTANT INFO: all orders must be placed by 12/18 4:00 PM to ensure delivery for Christmas as per USPS recommendations. The standard shipping used is "USPS First Class Package" which consists of delivery in 1-3 business days. This meets the requirement for Christmas delivery. However, we are not responsible for packages that do not make it on time due to delays on USPS's end. COVID-19 & the holidays are still causing some delays, although unlikely. Ordering as early as possible is your best way to avoid this. Orders can still be placed after 12/19 but I can not ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
LV Lock & Key Necklaces must be ordered by Friday, 12/11 12:00 PM to ensure Christmas delivery. This is due to the fact that we do not hold these chains in stock - they are ordered from a local jeweler once purchased. Once again you can order after this date, but I cannot guarantee Christmas delivery.
1. Where do you source the buttons from?
My buttons are sourced from a private (and trusted) distributor who has been collecting authentic buttons for many years. She collects from consignment stores, estate sales, and reliable colleagues who also collect or have worked in the high-end fashion industry first hand. My distributor (as well as myself) also double check to ensure authenticity.
2. So how can I tell they are real?
I only source authentic items. Each designer is different, but as for Chanel, vintage authentic buttons have a stamping on the back. Newer Chanel buttons from more recent collections unfortunately do not, but I am confident in my vendor who has been in the business for years that all buttons are real, whether they are new or old. Other brands vary in stamping.
3. Why is quantity in certain designs so limited?
As for Chanel, and most other brands, any item is never produced in mass quantities. Most items are very few, if not one-of-a-kind. Because the buttons are coming directly off the designer item, this also makes the button rare. My distributor does an awesome job sourcing high-demand designs, but it is never guaranteed, so that’s why you should act fast!
4. Are the pendants brand new?
Although I have no way to guarantee if a button is brand new, most do appear to look it. Some buttons or charms may have slight patina wear or surface scratches but this is because they are true vintage (and likely very unnoticeable). However, i would never sell anything that is in poor condition nor would my distributor ever sell me an item that was “too pre-loved.”
5. What is your return policy?
All sales are final. If you have an issue with your order please reach out to us so we can make it right!
Exceptions: When pieces are damaged during transit. The customer has 2 business days upon the delivery date to notify us that the piece has arrived damaged.
6. Why is my package taking so long to arrive?
Please note that we are not responsible for delayed, lost, or stolen packages. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the holidays, USPS is still experiencing shipping delays across the country.
Please see the following links from USPS for more info on this matter:
